Editorial: To the front! – Journal L’Economiste du Faso

Lhe requisitions of the headliners who are Issaka Lingani, journalist, Rasmané Zinaba and Bassirou Badjo from Balai Citoyen were contested before the courts. The Administrative Court concluded that there was no reason to order a stay of execution of the requisition decision signed by the Commander of the National Theater Operations Command (COTN).

Interested parties who are republicans and legalists should therefore submit to the requisition while awaiting the fate reserved for the appeal promised by their Lawyer. This would also be a good example of submission to the law. Me Farama, lawyer for the applicants, did not fail to point out that they preferred such a settlement of the dispute instead of threats and intimidation with knives on social networks. As a result, it is difficult to see their clients evading requisitions without suffering the administrative and/or legal consequences that will result. This court decision, however, does not resolve the merits of the case. Because, if the COTN continues to requisition the “loud mouths” for the front, we will no longer need Justice to say that it is misusing the law. That said, the side effects of the rejection of this request for a stay will leave their mark on TV and radio sets. o
