Editorial tips | Buy shares in Amsterdam or New York

For the coming year, our experts expect the best returns from shares listed in Amsterdam or New York. We are also counting on success for US Treasuries and a basket of gold mining stocks.

In the traditional roundup of personal tips for the new year, the seven experts from Investors Interests u 33 new positions. With the exception of two ETFs recommended by Karel Mercx, these are purely individual shares. The vast majority of those shares are listed in Amsterdam or – especially – New York. Exceptions are the German funds Henkel and Rheinmetall, the French Eiffage, the Swedish RVRC and the Chinese Alibaba.

Of the nine tips for stocks listed in Amsterdam, two experts recommend small-cap stock CM.com. Two other small caps recommended are Accsys and Acomo. The tipped Amsterdam shares also include the mid-cap funds Boskalis Westminster and Flow Traders and the AEX shares Just Eat Takeaway, KPN and Unilever.

No fewer than eighteen tips concern shares with a principal listing in New York. These include well-known and/or previously recommended funds such as Alphabet, Micron, First Majestic Silver, Wheaton Precious Metals, Bunge and Agco. Stephen Hendriks has newly listed five US stocks, combining two of them with extreme risk into one position.

The updates from the editors in a row

Our new expert, Jonathan van der Mark, who took office in October, has even included only US stocks in his mini-portfolio, a total of six. Finally, the only two ETFs proposed are a basket of gold mining stocks and an instrument that takes advantage of US government bonds. In three months’ time we will report on the first state of affairs of the positions in the mini-portfolios of our experts.
