The gendarmes of the Thionville company take out the notebook to verbalize all those who have nothing to do outside. “But the vast majority of people understand and apply the measures,” said squadron chief Hugo Dorlin, who commands the Thionville company. The population basin indeed has nearly 140,000 inhabitants.

In Entrange, the gendarmes stopped a car with two men on board. The driver without a license, without insurance, also had no certificate of movement justifying the fact that he took the wheel. He was also tested positive for narcotic drugs. He was placed in custody during the day (confinement within a brigade is not recommended). The man will be reconvened later.
The Guénange gendarmes were also mobilized on Sunday to ensure compliance with the confinement. Around 4:00 p.m., a car spotted them and refused to undergo screening. The driver accelerated and fled. Several patrols and a helicopter were deployed. The Volvo raced over Richemont before stopping at Gandrange. The driver abandoned the vehicle in a residential area and disappeared.

The police fined 112 people on their urban and peri-urban sector (which has about 110,000 inhabitants) between Thursday and Sunday. In Thionville, Florange, Yutz, Terville, or even Serémange, the weekend was rather calm: 26 PV drawn up on Saturday and 20 on Sunday. “We carry out some fixed checks, but above all we do dynamic work by patrol, with a presence in the neighborhoods,” notes the deputy to the Thionville commissioner, Guillaume Lacassin.
The municipal police are also empowered to sanction non-compliance with confinement. The Thionville-Terville teams have issued 29 fines since the start of the measure.

If confinement is not respected four times over thirty days, it can cost € 3,700 and up to six months in prison. From this Monday, March 23 at the end of the day, the minutes will be available even in electronic form.
