By moving to Thionville in September 2018, Music Factory, born in Luxembourg in 2011, took up the challenge of establishing itself in France and allowing music lovers to learn to play an instrument without going through apprenticeship classic music theory. “Alternative and more accessible” pedagogy
New place, new name. From now on, the school is associative and has been baptized Thionville Music Academy. “Luca and I are teachers of Music Factory and we wanted to continue the adventure for our students, but also because we believe in our pedagogy which wants to be alternative and more accessible”, explains Matthieu Van Celst, l ‘one of the partners.
Guitar, piano, drums, vocals, bass are taught there by the week, Monday to Saturday. “We had 250 students before confinement. Since May 11, it’s been going up crescendo. Our courses are individual and everything is set up: gel, mask, disinfection of instruments. “

Dust learning
Three concerts were scheduled, they had to be canceled. “But we want to hang on, set up preferential rates this summer and add classical music to our repertoire, by offering the violin, for example. We are currently recruiting teachers. Sound therapy is also being considered. “The advantage of Thionville Music Academy? You can register when you want without having to wait until September. We reserve our session and there is no long-term commitment. “We come once a week or once a month, we can stop when it suits us after four lessons. We also choose the duration: either thirty minutes, or forty-five minutes, even an hour. We sort of dust off the learning and have fun. “The registrants are from Thionville, but also from Yutz, Kédange, Hayange …” There is musical awakening, group workshops, a choir … You should not hesitate to come and test. “
