Edith Toeller from Krefeld turns 101

Krefeld. Edith Toeller from Krefeld will turn 101 on Friday, October 9th. The jubilee was born in Frankfurt am Main and initially moved to Gelsenkirchen as a child. After her parents divorced, she moved to Bad Berleburg, where he attended boarding school in Olpe. After graduating from the Berlitz School in Hamburg, she worked as a secretary at the German stainless steel works in Krefeld. Edith Toeller met her future husband in Hamburg and eventually went with him to Sagan, where she worked for the Silesian cellulose wool factory. Son Klaus was born in April 1945 in Marxen in the Lüneburg Heath. The couple then moved with the child to Krefeld, where their second son Thomas was born in December 1953. From 1965 the family lived in a single-family house in Krefeld-Verberg.

In the years that followed, the family expanded to include two daughters-in-law, two grandchildren and now five great-grandchildren. Edith Toeller’s husband Max died in 2010 and her son Klaus died in 2017. The senior citizen maintains close contact with her family members, has an intense interest in their lives and takes part in them. Since September 2018 she has been living in the retirement home and is enjoying her old age here in a beautiful environment.
