Suharjito complained about the alleged bribery case of the former Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Edhy Prabowo, which also ensnared him. He admitted that he was sad because he became a suspect because he was asked fee when taking care of permits export of lobster seeds or fry.
Suharjito conveyed this complaint when he was at the KPK building, Jalan Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Wednesday (24/3/2021). The director of PT Dua Putra Perkasa Pratama (DPPP), who has now become a defendant in the Edhy Prabowo bribery case, admitted that he was only trying to get an export permit after losing money.
“I do not understand, I submitted it for export yesterday because I was experimenting, right, 12 times lost, “said Suharjito.
Suharjito’s complaints did not stop there. He admitted that he was sad because he had to be in detention. He admitted that he could not possibly be involved in a corruption case if he was not asked fee by Edhy Prabowo.
“I’m sad, I’m an ordinary business person. So with me having a fate like this, I’m sad. I have a lot of employees, you know me. I have a thousand employees, while I’m here (on hold). I have to pay taxes, pay taxes. employees with COVID-19 conditions like this. It’s sad for me, “said Suharjito.
“Nothing, if I’m not asked commitment fee, there’s no way I’m like this, “he added.
Complaints continue in the trial
Suharjito’s complaints continued at the trial. He admitted that it was difficult to obtain a fry export permit from the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) until there was a request fee from specialized staff Edhy Prabowo.
This was revealed in a trial at the Jakarta Corruption Court, Jalan Bungur Besar Raya, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (24/3/2021). Suharjito, who sat as the defendant, spoke when he was about to ask the expert a de charge (expert relieves).
“I am already cultivation business for 5 years, with the existence of the latest ministerial regulation there is lobster cultivation. I was chosen, and also for lobster cultivation, I have been farming shrimp for 5 years almost the same. Later, the regulation was submitted for the export permit of BBL (lobster clear seeds), and cultivation. I hope to submit this (request for a lobster cultivation permit) so that it can develop, therefore I submitted a permit to the KKP, “said Suharjito.
Suharjito admitted that it is difficult to obtain permission for cultivation and export of fry. In fact, according to him, he is an experienced entrepreneur in terms of cultivation.
“We are having difficulties in matters of permits, which in fact I asked my subordinate, Agus, ‘Why is the problem, Gus, try asking the Director General of Budi Daya what the problem is’. Brother Agus asking to the Director General of Budi Daya, (asked) to ask the staff, there lies the commitment that must be conveyed to me, there are other commitments too, “Suharjito added.
He admitted that he was asked by the staff Edhy Prabowo to hand over IDR 5 billion if you want the permit to be issued. According to Suharjito, he had handed over USD 77 thousand.
“Yes, finally I paid the commitment of 77 thousand US dollars which was conveyed by Agus. I am in installments, 77 thousand US dollars equals Rp 1 billion,” he said.
