Edhy Prabowo sentenced to 5 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 400 million subsidiary 6 months in prison. Edhy Prabowo it is believed that the prosecutors were proven to have received bribes totaling Rp. 25.7 billion from the exporter of clear lobster seeds (BBL) or fry.
“Demanding that the panel of judges can decide, declare the defendant guilty of committing a criminal act of corruption together. Sentencing the defendant 5 years and a fine of IDR 400 million, subsidiary of 6 months in prison,” said KPK prosecutor Ronald Worotikan at the Jakarta Corruption Court, Jalan Bungur Besar Raya, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (29/6/2021).
The mitigating thing is Eddy polite and has never been punished and some assets have been confiscated. Meanwhile, the thing that weighs on him is that Edhy is considered not to have set a good example as the Minister of KKP.
The prosecutor said that Edhy accepted bribes through several of his subordinates, namely the Chairman of the Lobster Cultivation Licensing Due Diligence Team, Andreau Misanta Pribadi, and Safri as Edhy’s staff and Deputy Head of the Due Diligence Team, Amiril Mukminin as Edhy’s personal secretary, and Ainul Faqih as the personal staff of Edhy Iis’ wife. Rosita Dewi, and Sidwadhi Pranoto Loe as Commissioner of PT Perishable Logistics Indonesia (PT PLI) and owner of PT Aero Citra Kargo (PT ACK).
In this trial, the staff and private secretary as well as the owner of PT ACK were also charged with Edhy. The demands are as follows:
-Andreau Misanta Pribadi was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison and a fine of IDR 300 million subsidiary to 6 months in prison
– Safri was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison and a fine of IDR 300 million subsidiary to 6 months in prison
– Amiril Mukminin was charged with 4 years and 6 months in prison and fined Rp 300 million for 6 months in prison
– Ainul Faqih was sentenced to 4 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 200 million, subsidiary to 4 months in prison
– Sidwadhi Pranoto Loe was sentenced to 4 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 200 million, subsidiary to 4 months in prison.
Prosecutors say Eddy et al received money amounting to Rp 25.7 billion from the fry entrepreneurs. This money is related to the fry export permit.
“It can be concluded that the actions of the defendant as the minister of KP RI together with Andreau Misanta Pribadi as the staff, witness Safri, witness Amiril Mukminin as the personal secretary of the minister of KP RI, witness Ainul Faqih as personal secretary Iis Rosita Dewi, a member of the DPR RI or the defendant’s wife, and Siswadhi Pranoto Loe as Commissioner of PT Perishable Logistics Indonesia (PT PLI) and owner of PT Aero Citra Kargo (PT ACK) from witness Suharjito and other BBL exporters have received prizes in the form of cash amounting to USD 77 thousand and Rp 24,625,587,250, “said the prosecutor.
The prosecutor said the USD 77,000 was obtained by Edhy Prabowo from the Director of PT DPPP, Suharjito. It is known that Suharjito had already been sentenced to 2 years in prison in connection with this case.
“That there is testimony from Suharjito who said the witness handed over money through witness Safri worth USD 77,000 with the aim of accelerating the export license of PT DPPP’s fries. Witness Suharjito and Agus Kurniyawanto handed over USD 77,000 through Safri by stating ‘this is money deposited for the minister’,” said the prosecutor. .
As for the receipt of Rp 24.6 billion, the prosecutor said this money was obtained by Edhy from another fried rice businessman in the form of cargo costs using a puppet company. According to the prosecutor, Edhy made a puppet company cooperate with the cargo company PT ACK, which exports fried fries by collecting profits through two people representing himself so that the money was legally received.
“That the legal facts revealed that the defendant’s desire to benefit from the BBL exporter businessman, to fulfill the defendant’s wish, witness Amiril who is the defendant’s personal secretary is looking for a puppet company to accommodate, receive money from Suharjito and other businessmen,” said the prosecutor.
