On 21 October 2020, Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, Anže Logar, who was on a working visit to Riga. The ministers discussed bilateral relations between Latvia and Slovenia, current affairs of the European Union (EU) and global issues – EU relations with Russia, events in Belarus, the situation in the Western Balkans, as well as security policy, transatlantic relations and the Three Seas Initiative.
