After starting the preparation for the 2022 European Championship with only thirteen players, coach Guillaume Gille has chosen to recall three others, present on the list of 35 pre-convened. So the half-center Nicolas Claire (Aix) and the left wingers Mathieu Grébille (Paris) and Raphael Caucheteux (Saint-Raphaël) joined the training camp at the Maison du Handball today.
If these three players had tested negative on their arrival at Créteil, Guillaume Gille certainly saw the return of Remi Desbonnet and of Benoit Kounkoud. The Nîmes goalkeeper and the Parisian right-winger were among the eight positives but their PCR test this morning came back negative, allowing them to return to the squad.
