EdF: Kant at the World Cup? Doubt grows …

the 14/10/2022 08:17

Away from the pitch since August 14, N’Golo Kant (31, 2 Premier League games this season) seemed on track when he returned to training in late September. But the Chelsea midfielder has a relapse with a hamstring injury and finds himself back on the wing. As the World Cup looms on the horizon (November 20-December 18), the former Leicester player is worried.

In any case, the world champion will be absent for at least two weeks. But L’Equipe explains that the exams passed on Thursday encourage Chelsea to be cautious. According to the sports newspaper, Kant is expected to be absent until early November. He would thus miss the next five Blues games and play only two games before the announcement of Didier Deschamps’ list, scheduled for November 9th. With matches against Manchester City (9 November) and Newcastle (12 November), he would arrive in Qatar with only four games left since August. Enough for the Italian coach?
