Soon photos of the arrest of the two – clearly recognizable – went around in local Whatsapp groups. Van der Wal confirms that there are serious suspicions towards the prime suspect – from murder to serious assault. A police spokeswoman refused to say anything about this on Friday evening.

The police say they keep in close contact with the surviving relatives, especially Shelley’s mother, but this only got under way too late. “It has taken too long in this case for family officers to be linked to this lady. We regret that and we also let the mother know. ”
