“I have no more pain and feel much better”
MADRID. If you hear him talking these days, you might think he doesn’t feel like taking a summer break. So that the 2022/23 season simply follows the 2021/22 season immediately. Eden Hazard is eager to shake off its status as a huge, possibly biggest, flop in Real Madrid history. The 31-year-old Belgian is currently doing part of the preparation with his national team, where he recently made a refreshing impression in an international match against Poland.
In the course of his stay with the “Red Devils”, Hazard paid a visit to a Belgian Real fan club – and put it on record: “I am no longer in pain and feel much better. The injury is forgotten.” He alluded to the plate surgically removed from his right fibula at the end of March, which had previously hampered him with infections and other ailments.
Hazard has a contract with Los Blancos until June 30, 2024. He knows that by then he should gradually be making convincing appearances on the floor of the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu.
Eden Hazard: “Finally showing what I couldn’t show”
“I know I owe something to the President, to the wonderful Real Madrid fans who gave me an incredible welcome at the Bernabéu. And my teammates and my coach. I have a great desire for the coming season to finally show what I haven’t been able to show since moving to Madrid.”, according to the attacker, whose transfer fee is said to have increased again after winning the Champions League title. The new cost item: 145 million euros.

Only recently, after making another announcement to the madridistas at the premier class celebration at the Cibeles Fountain, did Hazard comment: “I still have time. I have no doubt that I still have good years ahead of me. I just have to find the sensations, the movements, so I can prepare well. I just want to stay a whole year without any physical problems, score goals, play as much as possible.”
