For the customers of the Edeka stores this means: The range of Coca-Cola products is likely to become noticeably wider again soon. According to information from the food newspaper, Fanta and Co. could even hit the Edeka shelves again next week. Edeka has now confirmed to the magazine that an agreement could be reached with Coca-Cola, but did not want to disclose any further information about the deal or how to proceed.
Up to 120 products in some Edeka branches were affected by the beverage sales stop. In addition to the well-known brands such as Sprite, Fanta or Cola light / zero, the Coca-Cola group also includes water from Vio, energy drinks from Monster and iced teas from Fuze.
In Germany, however, Edeka was the only retailer who revolted against the price increases. Both Aldi Süd, Penny, Rewe and Lidl had, for example, increased the price of the 1.25 liter bottle of Coke by ten cents.
