Hollywood star Eddie Redmayne, in his daughter’s mind, should have stayed in the Harry Potter universe rather than take on his latest role. “You caught a glimpse of the trailer for the film, which, again, is educationally awful,” the 40-year-old told American presenter Stephen Colbert of his film The Good Nurse, in which he plays nurse and serial killer Charles Cullen plays.
“I don’t know why I showed them this,” admitted Redmayne, who has a six-year-old daughter and four-year-old son with his wife Hannah Bagshawe. “They realized pretty quickly that I’m not a good nurse. I’m the bad nurse. And my daughter asked me if I could go back to my role as a wizard.”
In the Harry Potter prequel “Fantastic Beasts”, Redmayne plays the weird and shy magizoologist Newt Scamander. “The Good Nurse,” in which a nurse (played by Jessica Chastain) tracks down her co-worker she’s killing, has been available on Netflix since Wednesday.
