Hamburg (AP) – The British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran (32) has been patiently ready for selfies with visitors to the Hamburg Panoptikum since Thursday. The sculptor Lisa Büscher has been working on the figure with her team in her Berlin studio since the fall, the Panoptikum said. It is her first figure for the Panoptikum and at the same time her first work in wax. “Working with wax was challenging, but Ed Sheeran’s many tattoos were also an intricate and time-consuming feature of the project,” says the artist.
The wax figure with the characteristic redhead shows the musician with a Little Martin western guitar on his shoulder. The singer stands next to singer Adele and opposite Queen Elizabeth II. A total of 120 personalities from culture, politics and society can be admired in the wax museum on the Reeperbahn.
