It reports that Eindhovens Dagblad. Maletic joined the PSV youth academy in July 2019 and was told ten months later that he had to leave. He is now Rogier Meijer’s assistant at NEC.

Maletic approached Mauro several times by app in April and contacted the Brazilian by telephone, who referred him to his agent. ‘Head of youth academies Ernest Faber and technical manager John de Jong got wind of Maletic’s rapprochement with Mauro and were immediately irritated, because they did not expect their own youth coach to approach a player from the A-selection for this,’ it states. Eindhovens Dagblad.

PSV felt that there was a breach of trust and indicated that Maletic could leave. The youth coach did not agree with this, he filed a lawsuit. PSV lost that case and recently had to pay Maletic an amount of 20,000 euros, due to the premature termination of his contract.
