In the event that no presidential candidate wins the elections with 40% of the votes, or a difference greater than 10 percentage points over the second, a second round will be held on April 11 between the two candidates with the most votes.

In Ecuador, voting is mandatory, but abroad it is a right that migrants have optionally exercised since 2006.

According to the consulate, more than 40,000 Ecuadorians are registered to vote in our city.
