The Ministry of Energy of Ecuador, led since Tuesday by Roberto Luque, has discovered indications that the previous minister in charge of the portfolio, Andrea Arrobo, would have intentionally hidden relevant information about the operation of the electrical system and the blackouts it suffers. the South American nation for weeks.

According to the first results of the investigations ordered by President Daniel Noboa, the Ministry of Energy has determined that Arrobo, along with many other state officials, had suppressed and eliminated warnings and alerts to the Energy Crisis Committee with the aim of hiding the serious situation that the system is going through.

Arrobo was removed from office the day before after President Noboa requested her resignation following the announcement of new power cuts scheduled for that same Tuesday and Wednesday.
