The Manabí Police have found the lifeless bodies of five of the eleven tourists who had been kidnapped this Friday in the canton of Puerto López, in the Ecuadorian province of Manabí.
“This morning the alleged kidnapping of eleven people was recorded in Puerto López, Manabí, five of them were located without vital signs and with gunshot wounds on the Ayampe – Santa Elena road,” explains a statement shared by the Manibí Police. on his social network account X, formerly Twitter.
In it they add that “the other six victims, including five minors, are safe with their families.” The Police have deployed units to “find those responsible and the motivations for this violent act.”
The kidnapping occurred this Thursday when about 20 armed individuals entered a hotel in the canton of Puerto López and after stealing identity documents, cell phones and other belongings, they forcibly took eleven people who were staying at the hotel, according to reports. the television channel Oromar TV.
