Restaurants, canteens and factories in the food industry in the Lyon basin get rid of their bio-waste thanks to Ecovalim in Vourles (Rhône). Bought by the independent producer of renewable energies CVE last year, this company collects its raw material within a radius of 60 km, sorts it before sending it to CVE Biogaz’s new methaniser in Montbrison (Loire).

Inaugurated at the beginning of April, this plant required an investment of 13 million euros, for a production of 22 GWh/year. This facility is one of 11 commissioned and connected to the gas network in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region this year, according to GRDF Sud-Est surveys.
