Economy: Russia‘s Yadran Group commits to investing in three key sectors in Mali

On the afternoon of Monday, October 28, 2024, the President of the Malian Transition, General Assimi Goïta, received in audience at the Koulouba Palace a large delegation from the Yadran Group of Russia, led by Irek Salikhov, President of the Council of Administration (PCA). Also present were the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, the Minister of Economy and Finance, as well as that of Industry and Commerce. This visit is part of the strengthening of their bilateral cooperation. In fact, the Russian company plans to sign a partnership with the Malian government. This commitment concerns three key sectors: the construction of a cotton processing factory, the construction of a gold refinery, and the supply of petroleum products. Upon leaving the audience, the Chairman of the Board of Directors stressed that all these agreements were examined according to the basic principles of their collaboration. He indicated that they are in the process of studying technical issues, specifying that the next stage will be devoted to the signing of memorandums of understanding, followed by the arrival of groups of Russian technicians for implementation.
