The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that the Peruvian avocado made its entrance to Lotte Mart, one of the largest supermarket chains in Asia.
On Thursday, August 13, the launch ceremony of the Peruvian Hass avocado was held in Korea. Lotte Mart has 136 stores in that country and several dozen in others in the region.
The Ambassador of Peru in the Republic of Korea thanked the chain for its trust in Peruvian agricultural products, since this company also offers Peruvian frozen mangoes, which have become one of the favorite products of Koreans.
Present at this promotional event were the Ambassador of Peru in the Republic of Korea, the Director of the Korea National Product Supply Division, the General Manager of the Seoul Station Establishment and the General Director of Importer Il Commerce Inc.
Last June, according to Promperú, Peru became the main supplier of Hass avocado in Europe.
