Economy: Congress Commission approves 100% withdrawal of contributions to ONP to not act

Commission for the Defense of the Consumer and Regulatory Bodies of Public Services of the Congress of the Republic unanimously approved bill 4977 which establishes that active and non-active contributors can access the withdrawal of their contributions made to the Office of Pension Standardization (ONP).

The opinion authorizes the inactive contributors in the last 12 months to withdraw up to 100% of contributions made during your working life. It was achieved with seven votes in favor.

Likewise, the withdrawal of up to 1 ITU (S / 4,300) is authorized to active contributors in order to mitigate the economic impact of the pandemic of the COVID-19.

Procedure for delivering contributions to the ONP

In the case of non-active contributors, the money will be delivered as follows:

  • 34% within a maximum period of 30 calendar days after the application is approved before the ONP.
  • 33% after 60 calendar days computed from the first disbursement.
  • 33% at 90 calendar days computed from the second disbursement.
  • The disbursement of the interest generated by the contributions made will be delivered within 60 calendar days of the third disbursement.

For the active contributors, the procedure will be as follows:

  • 50% within a maximum period of 15 calendar days after the application is approved before the ONP
  • 50% at 30 calendar days computed from the first disbursement

The document states that the withdrawal of the funds maintains the status of intangibles, so they may not be discounted, legal or contractual compensation, embargo, withholding, any form of affectation is of a judicial or administrative order.

Also, responses to Contributors’ requests will be made within a maximum period of 7 business days, otherwise positive silence will apply.
