[Economie] At Dekra, employees want to regain their working conditions

SOCIAL. On an indefinite strike since yesterday, the employees of Dekra, a company specializing in technical vehicle inspections, are demanding that they return to their old working conditions. “This is not about asking for salary increases. We just want to work as before, ”explains a group supervisor. In front of the Dekra du Chaudron, forty employees demonstrate at the call of the CGTR and the CFDT.

“It all started with the arrival of a new manager from Dekra France. We were asked to work more, to work overtime without necessarily being paid or recovered ”, continues another striking employee. Dekra employees are at 39 hours. And the overtime requested is a point of tension. “They can be paid, only if the result of the centers is positive”, he emphasizes. Precisely, with the Covid-19, the results will not necessarily be there because of the drop in vehicle sales, blows a union representative.

Another concern pointed out is the question of planning. “The schedules are constantly changing with mandatory attendance times that fluctuate.” Changes depending on the activity that do not pass. “We are asked to carry out more checks, which impacts on quality,” admits one employee. A weighty problem that the JIR had raised in its edition of last Monday. “We prioritize profitability over safety,” plague one of them.

A first meeting took place between the unions and the management. But for the moment everyone remains stuck on their position. “The discussions are not broken,” said a union delegate from the CFDT. In the meantime, the strike started on Tuesday continues today and a new interview could take place. As for the Dekra centers, they remain closed. We tried to reach the management who did not contact us.
