Economic situation has made it difficult to pay the credit of Funds Guanajuato: CCE Irapuato

Irapuato, Gto. – Of the 180 companies affiliated to the Irapuato Business Coordinating Council (CCEI) that received a loan in the first stage of the emerging program ‘Fondos Guanajuato’, only approximately 10% began to pay since December, as the rest had the deadline for June 30.

This was reported by the President of the Council, Rafael Lamadrid Barrueta, who specified that the greatest difficulty in paying was for companies in the tourism sector, the most economically hit by the pandemic.

“In fact, last year credits were granted by the Guanajuato Funds in support of all companies with different requirements, with different needs. The payment terms began in December, some, because there were some credits that were granted since April, that payment term is extended because many sectors showed low sales, the term was extended to June. There are companies that today are paying their credit and there are others that agreed to the term that was granted and they will start doing it from June ”.

“I estimated around 10% of companies that have been beginning to pay, I believe that 90% adhered to the June deadline; supported are around 180 companies here in the municipality of Irapuato, it was the second municipality that received the most support in this program ”.

And it is that he specified that after the pandemic, the situation became complicated and mainly impacted companies in the tourism sector.

“Definitely the situation is complicated, I cannot talk about companies in particular, but I think we can talk about sectors, there are sectors that have been very hit with this situation, such as the tourism sector, hotels, event organizers, restaurants, etc. the main sectors most affected by the situation we have and they will surely have some difficulty in being able to pay, but I am sure that all businessmen are seeking to meet their commitments ”.

In Irapuato, more than 900 credits were awarded in the first stage of the program.

It should be noted that through the Guanajuato Fund page it is reported that in the first stage of the program, that is, from April to November, a total of 912 loans were granted to companies in the commerce, service, industry, tourism and artisan sectors.

It was an amount of 130 million, 702 thousand 617 pesos.
