Vienna – At the end of August, the Wiener Stadtwerke received emergency loans from the City of Vienna, now largely repaid, at affordable terms to save its subsidiary Wien Energie, which had been struggling with power exchanges. This can be seen from the “1st supplement to the framework credit agreement of 29 August 2022” decided on Monday by the finance committee of the city senate. The Council will address this issue in November.
