Rabat, August 30, WAM/ Since the launch of its third phase by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, King of the Kingdom of Morocco in 2018, the National Initiative for Human Development, especially within the framework of its third program “Improving Income and Economic Inclusion of Youth”, continues to provide important financial and technical support to young people. The “WOODOLOGY” project is a living example of this firm commitment of the National Initiative for Human Development to promote youth employment and develop a new generation of projects. It will value the local qualifications through a new approach to creating added value thanks to concrete work that targets the project, its holder and the surrounding environment.
The project, which required an investment of 300,000 Moroccan dirhams, including 180,000 Moroccan dirhams as a contribution from the initiative (60 percent), is concerned with creating a craft workshop specialized in the design, construction and production of furniture and decorative tools from wood, as well as the restoration of old furniture.
Idriss Nimawi, the founder of “WOODOLOGY” said in a statement to the news channel (M24) affiliated with the Maghreb Arab News Agency: “The National Initiative for Human Development granted me financial support that enabled me to acquire equipment and tools for cutting and designing raw materials, as well as making furniture and decorations from wood.” .
He added: “We started working less than a year ago, and we were able to gain a share of the market by working continuously to improve the image of our brand, products and services with consumers.”
The program of the National Initiative for Human Development “Improving Income and Economic Inclusion of Youth” aims to provide support and support for project holders in order to enhance the economic inclusion of youth and women, by providing them with job opportunities and self-employment.
The intervention of the National Development Initiative, during this period, will enable the implementation of 134 projects in the productive and service sectors. This would contribute to providing new job opportunities and creating more added value at the local level.

The ecological project “Mazavab”, as a plastic waste recycling unit, is the culmination of the perseverance and commitment of three young people, who were supported by the National Initiative for Human Development in its third phase.
The owners of this project, which falls within the framework of the “Income Improvement and Economic Inclusion of Youth” program and entered service in 2022, aim to contribute to promoting the transition of their industry towards a circular economy and the development of an effective recycling division in accordance with a responsible approach at the economic, social and environmental levels.

Regarding the topics on the agenda of the Marrakesh session, Julie Kozak indicated that this meeting will be an opportunity to discuss some of the challenges of concern to Africa, as well as the opportunities offered by the African continent.
She said, “Africa and the Middle East are two regions with a majority of young people. Therefore, the agenda of the upcoming meetings will include an important axis. How can we benefit from this data and the importance of youth in these two regions? How can we benefit from youth by talking about the opportunities provided by digitization and modern technologies?”
