Islamabad: Pakistan is preparing to increase fuel prices again due to the economic crisis. Pakistani media reports that petrol and diesel prices may be increased by 32 Pakistani rupees per liter from February 16.

The prices of petroleum, oil and lubricants in the international market will continue to increase for the next two weeks. It is reported that this may force the government to increase fuel prices again.

According to the authorities, petrol prices will increase by 12.8 percent and diesel prices by 12.5 percent. Apart from these, it is also indicated that the price of kerosene may increase by 14.8 percent. With this, the price of petrol in the country will increase to 282 rupees and the price of diesel will increase to 262.8 rupees. In the wake of the economic crisis, other essentials are also expensive in Pakistan. 210 Pakistani rupees per liter of milk and 700 to 800 rupees per kg of meat.
