The Cairo Economic Court had decided to reject the complaint submitted by Sama Al-Masry; To stop her 6-month prison sentence for accusing her of insulting and slandering the media, Reham Saeed.
Counselor Marwa Hisham Barakat had issued a ruling to punish Sama Al-Masry in the case of insulting and slandering the media, Reham Saeed, with two years imprisonment and a fine of 100,000 pounds, before the appellate court reduced the sentence to only 6 months.
The investigations of the Public Prosecution revealed that the accused, Samia Ahmed Attia, known as “Sama Al-Masry” in Case No. 535 of 2020, during the month of August 2019 in the Azbakeya Department of Cairo Governorate, slandered the victim, Reham Amr Hassan Saeed, and her nickname is “Reham Saeed”, that She was assigned matters that, if they were truthful, would have necessitated her contempt, and this matter included an appeal against her presentation, by appearing in a video clip and directing these phrases to the victim and sending this clip to her friends via the “WhatsApp” application.
