Ecocrime does not write where the search took place, but that it was carried out in Eastern Norway last week. There are a number of artefacts that are believed to be cuneiform and other archeological artefacts from ancient Mesopotamia and which are considered important for the cultural-historical world heritage, which have been seized.
No persons are to be charged in connection with the search, but several witnesses have been questioned.
– The assistance assignment is currently not a traditional investigation, but is limited to locating the objects in question, says public prosecutor Maria Bache Dahl.
The search took place on the grounds of the Cultural Heritage Act.
