Eco vouchers can also be used from 1 January 2022 to buy products from the local farmer, in the farm shop or on the local market. This was decided by the social partners in the National Labor Council.

The eco vouchers can only be used at sellers who have the recognized logo “Right from the farmer” or “En direct de la ferme”.
The extension was agreed by collective labor agreement in the National Labor Council on 21 December, confirms the Christian trade union ACV. “With this, the social partners hope to promote cultivation and sales via the so-called ‘short chain’.”
“We want to encourage the Flemish as much as possible to buy locally,” says Flemish Minister of Agriculture and Food Hilde Crevits (CD&V). She sees the new payment method as “a new but logical step to bring farmers and citizens closer together”.
The farmers in Flanders who accept the checks will be listed on the website www.rechtvanbijdeboer.be.
