Ecobonus auto 2020, the new eco-incentives: the money for hybrid and electric increases

Another 500 million in incentives

The 50 million euros allocated by the Relaunch decree to support the transition of mobility and modernize the car fleet in our country ended already at the beginning of August. Now, with the additional 500 million put in place by the August decree, the audience of those who can benefit from the bonus to change the car is expanding. This time, however, the incentive is not indistinct, but divided by emission bands. In fact, the state contribution for cars with lower CO2 emissions rises: 50 million euros are allocated to electric and plug-in hybrid cars (0-60 g / km of CO2); 150 million go instead to the range from 21 to 60; and 100 million are destined for the emission band from 90 to 110 (the one that led the boom at the beginning of the month and made up of petrol or diesel cars and which, we can predict, will run out quickly). Finally, 90 million were allocated to the charging stations.
Until December 31, 2020, or rather until funds are exhausted, the incentives are divided by bands and include the state contribution and the minimum mandatory retailer discount. From January 1, 2021, the incentives “fully operational” will return, ie those aimed at cars with emissions not exceeding 60 g / km (with bonuses between 1,500 and 6,000 euros and without the obligation of a minimum discount).
But let’s see in detail what the August decree provides.
