The electric motorbike manufacturer ECGO EV Moto then gathered a number of online motorcycle taxi communities to hear this input. They are finally determined to provide subsidies in the form of direct price discounts to ojols who want to use ECGO electric motorbikes as their fleet.
“We see that the enthusiasm and interest of ojols to switch to electric motorbikes from conventional motorbikes is high. Therefore, ECGO is offering a discount of Rp. 7 million without complicated requirements in the hope of making it easier to buy electric motorbikes,” said ECGO Marketing Communications Manager, Muhammad Irsan.
Irsan claims that the subsidy is a direct discount and without complicated requirements. In addition, he ensured, the number of purchases is also not limited. So, ojol drivers don’t need to be afraid of running out of units.
So, with this IDR 7 million subsidy, the price of the ECGO electric motorbike that ojol drivers can buy is quite affordable. Now, ECGO 5 can be redeemed for IDR 12 million, while ECGO 3 is IDR 16 million. That includes tax and one battery unit.
“Apart from the price discount program, ECGO EV Moto also holds a referral program that is offered to our motorbike users. This is also what we offer ojol drivers, the hope is that it can help drivers earn too,” said Irsan.
