Eccentric French antivax twin brothers die in quick succession, possibly from corona

According to sources from the French daily newspaper The world Grichka Bogdanoff was admitted to the intensive care unit of the Hôpital Européen Georges-Pompidou in Paris on December 15 after contracting Covid-19. The same day, his brother Igor is also said to have entered there. “According to a source who knows the two brothers well, they were not vaccinated against Covid-19,” the usually well-informed newspaper said.

The relatives confirm the death of the brothers, but do not comment on the cause of death. According to their lawyer Édouard de Lamaze, the two brothers have died of corona.

Former French education minister Luc Ferry, who was friends with the twins, tells in The Parisian that he had called on the brothers ‘fifty times’ to be vaccinated. The last time was a few weeks ago, when they were still doing well. “Grichka, like Igor, was not an anti-vaxer. He was an anti-vaxer to himself,” Ferry says.

‘Experimentatoren’

The eccentric twin brothers caused a furore on French television in the late 1970s and early 1980s, including with a popular program about serious science and science fiction.

The brothers became known to the international public for their recognizable and typical appearance, probably the result of numerous plastic surgery procedures. The brothers never made any explicit statements about the deformities in their faces, but they did call themselves ‘experimenters’.

There were also rumors that the deformation of their cheekbones and chin was not just due to copious surgeries. Thus, the brothers would suffer from acromegaly. This means that the body produces too many growth hormones, causing the nose, chin and limbs to grow disproportionately. That would explain, among other things, why their faces looked so ‘swollen’. Igor and Grichka went to the plastic surgeon to limit the consequences of their condition as much as possible. The Bogdanoffs have never confirmed this themselves.

Igor and Grichka were doctors of physics and mathematics, and descendants of Austrian aristocracy. In recent years, however, there have been strong doubts about their academic qualities. Infamous is the so-called Bogdanoff affair, in which the brothers were accused of making unsubstantiated articles on fundamental physics. They are also accused of plagiarism and fraud. Igor also came under fire for allegedly assaulting his ex-partner.

Igor Bogdanoff leaves behind six children. His brother Grichka was not married and had no children.
