“ECB Meeting: Uncertainty Surrounds Potential Rate Increase”

On Thursday, another meeting of the European Central Bank (ECB) is expected, in which the rates will most likely be raised again, however, economists’ predictions about the extent to which the rate will be increased are not so clear-cut this time.

The ECB has increased the deposit rate from -0.5% last summer to 3% in March. Officials have said they hope to agree on another increase this week, while adding that the latest data will determine whether they stick with a 50 basis point increase or slow the increase to 25 basis points.
