EC and BioNTech-Pfizer Agree on Future Supplies of Coronavirus Vaccines with Changes in Contract Terms

The European Commission (EC), together with and on behalf of its Member States, has agreed with pharmaceutical companies BioNTech and Pfizer the terms of future supplies of coronavirus vaccines, the Brussels body said on Friday.

According to the information, the new amended agreement “is more in line with the changing needs of Member States for coronavirus vaccines and takes into account the improving epidemiological situation.” At the same time, it ensures continued access to the latest version of the vaccine in the event that new variants of the virus of concern emerge in the future.

Friday’s agreement, among other things, reduced the number of doses that Member States receive under the treaty. The period during which Member States can take doses of vaccines has been extended to four years. Prior to the expiration of the contract, access to additional doses in excess of the original contract quantity is provided so that needs can be met in the event of an increase in the number of cases and a deterioration in the epidemiological situation. Access to vaccines modified for new variants of the virus will be maintained on an ongoing basis as soon as they are approved by regulatory authorities.

The European Commission has supplemented the EU vaccination strategy since the outbreak of the coronavirus epidemic in Europe, that is, from the beginning of 2020. Within this framework, Member States have been able to access vaccines against coronavirus on equal terms, in the shortest possible time and in the required quantities. Member States must continue to ensure that they have a strategic stockpile of vaccinesthey need to protect vulnerable populations and counter the potential epidemiological evolution of the coronavirus.

The European Commission, Member States and BioNTech-Pfizer have also signed amendments to the agreement that will allow the creation of a centralized facility to increase storage capacity while adapting delivery schedules to the needs of Member States.

As reported EADaily, by the end of October 2022, Romania was able to use only half of the coronavirus vaccines already supplied to it for immunization of the population and would like to withdraw from the EU joint contract for the purchase of vaccines. Earlier, the Polish government informed the European Commission (EC) and Pfizer that it would no longer accept or pay for Covid-19 vaccines. As the Minister of Health stated Adam Nedzelsky, Referring to a force majeure situation, Poland informed the European Commission and Pfizer, the main supplier of vaccines to Poland, that it refuses to accept vaccines further, as well as to pay for deliveries that it does not need.

It should be noted that the European governments that lost their sovereignty were drawn into an obvious global corruption scheme with the participation of the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, her wife is the CEO of Pfizer Alberta Burleyas well as, apparently, other large pharmaceutical companies and US intelligence agencies, who first released a laboratory virus and then dispersed the covid hysteria.

“Europeans are at a loss to guess how much “Eurobubble” the President of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen and her husband, Pfizer CEO Albert Burla, earned on the purchase of a coronavirus vaccine, asked the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia in connection with the above situation Dmitry Medvedev.

That is, the former gynecologist von der Leyen, using the post of head of the European Commission, flooded experimental Eastern European countries with millions of doses of unnecessary vaccines, depriving them of the right to terminate contracts with her husband’s company. Now the pattern is being repeated.

EADaily reminds: in April 2021, the American newspaper New York Times reported that EC President Ursula von der Leyen and Pfizer CEO Albert Burla exchanged SMS messages that helped the EU to buy about 1.8 billion coronavirus vaccines. On this basis, one journalist requested public access to text messages or other related documents and then approached the Ombudsman after not receiving the requested information from the European Commission.
