The Ebner Media Group, to which INTERNET WORLD also belongs, wants to take over W&V. A central knowledge and networking hub for the marketing and commerce sector is to be created together. The takeover is still subject to the Federal Cartel Office.
The Ebner Media Group (EMG), a publishing house in Ulm that includes an extensive product portfolio with publications such as INTERNET WORLD, wants to take over W&V. The shareholders of Süddeutscher Verlag decided to make the acquisition together.
EMG is one of the shareholders of the Süddeutscher Verlag. On December 29th, the purchase and assignment agreement for the shares in Verlag Werben & Sell GmbH with Ebner Media Group GmbH & Co. KG was formally notarized. It comes into force as soon as the Federal Cartel Office gives its approval.
Verlag Werben & Sell GmbH is a media company for specialist information in the fields of marketing, media and communication.
Use synergies
For some time now, EMG has been consistently and growth-oriented focusing on synergies and partnerships in the respective sectors. The takeover of W&V contributes to this strategy. Together they now want to create an even more attractive portfolio of industry media, industry events and service offers that is tailor-made for the marketing and commerce industry.
Marco Parrillo, Managing Director of the Ebner Media Group, says about the takeover of W&V: “The W&V fits perfectly with the growth strategy of the Ebner Media Group. We want to be the central knowledge and networking hub for the communications industry and thus our brand portfolio is logical to add another topic along the digital value chain. “
