On Thursday afternoon (08/11/2022), at around 4:49 p.m., a serious traffic accident occurred between a truck and a pedelec rider on the ring road in Darmstadt-Eberstadt. The 52-year-old pedelec driver from Seeheim drove on the ring road from the direction of Heidelberger Landstraße in the direction of Strohweg behind a 57-year-old driver of a small truck from Darmstadt. According to initial investigations, the pedelec driver overtook the small truck on the left, fell for reasons that have not yet been clarified and hit a vehicle parked on the side of the road. The result was a head and pelvis injury to the pedelec driver, which is why she was taken to a nearby hospital after a short treatment on site. The ring road was temporarily closed for the accident investigation. In addition to two patrols from the Pfungstadt police station, an ambulance and an emergency doctor were also on duty.
