SUNRISE, Fla – Florida Panthers general manager Bill Zito announced today that the club have reached a deal with defenseman Kevin Connauton for a one-year two-way contract. Connauton should be assigned to the Panthers Taxi Squad.
Connauton, 30, played four regular season games with the Colorado Avalanche in 2019-20 and 38 regular season games with the Colorado Eagles in the American Hockey League (AHL), producing 27 points (5-22 -27).
The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder from Edmonton, Alta., Has appeared in 314 career National Hockey League regular-season games with the Colorado (2019-20), Arizona Coyotes ( 2015-16 to 2018-19), Columbus Blue Jackets (2014-15 to 2015-16) and Dallas Stars (2013-14 to 2014-15).
He was originally selected by the Vancouver Canucks in the third round (83rd overall) of the 2009 NHL Draft.
