Hilaria Baldwin returned to social media on Friday, posting a photo of herself with husband Alec Baldwin and their five children.
The 37-year-old pseudo-Spaniard was out of the public eye for a month after it was discovered that she was actually born Hillary Hayward-Thomas and raised in Boston, as opposed to Mallorca as many believed. « I’ve spent the last month listening, thinking, and wondering, how I can learn and grow, « she began in a long caption. “My parents raised my brother and me with two cultures, American and Spanish, and I feel a real sense of belonging to both.”
She continued, “The way I feel about myself and mine deep connection to two cultures could have been better explained – I should have been clearer and I’m sorry, I take pride in my upbringing and we raise our children to share the same love and respect for both. We have built our community around being vulnerable and pushing ourselves to learn and grow, and I hope we can return to the supportive and friendly environment we built together. «
Hilaria’s scandal occurred in December after a Twitter user called her out with a simple remark: « I have to admire Hilaria Baldwin’s commitment to her decades of grift, in which she poses as Spaniard. »
By d Hilaria’s life imploded when clips reappeared, including one who pretended not to know what the word for cucumber was in English on the Today show. She also struggled to sign her 2009 tax return.
She later insisted that she only hid her Boston background to protect the privacy of her parents – who later moved to Spain.
Hilaria said previously that she would take a break from the social media platform in December, published it only a few hours later.
The 62-year-old Alec took his own social media break last month and promised to follow suit keep out of the Twitter scandal.
