Ebanie Bridges has revealed the three weirdest fan requests she’s received. The boxer also revealed how she hits back at “jealous” trolls. Bridges, 36, is the IBF bantamweight champion and won the title in March last year when she defeated Maria Cecilia Romanov. She has since retained the belt by defeating Shannon O’Connell and built an army of loyal fans with her spicy posts on the internet.
Some of the messages he receives from his supporters are somewhat bizarre, to say the least. “I get love letters and all kinds of things. They ask me for bath water, toenails cut, sweat,” she said in an episode of Pub Talk.
Bridges then explained how she deals with “jealous” trolls. “I ignore messages from trolls. Anyone who is successful will get envy, hate, people will try to pull you down,” she continued. “It’s just normal. People who gossip about me don’t know me, so why should I let someone who’s never met me bother me? I’ve been through hell in my life and I’m very confident, I like myself.”
In 2020, the “Blonder Bomber” admitted that in an effort to earn some extra income, she complied with some fan requests. “If you want my stuff, you have to pay me. There’s a lot of weird people out there,” she said in an earlier interview with talkSPORT.
“I didn’t sell them the used bath water, but I was getting so many weird requests that I thought, should I go buy some glasses for it? I gave them socks because it’s harmless fun. I thought it was funny and they ended up paying, so if you want anything, here’s my PayPal.”
“You’d think normal people would want underwear or something, but it’s just socks. But I get random requests for bath water and other weird things that I won’t go into now,” she continued. “At the end of the day, it’s all money, if they want to pay, that’s up to them. I don’t really care, as long as I have food on the table and the bills are paid, I’m happy.”
