It’s an event that wants to be “good child” around food. With his Eating Well Festival, the deputy mayor of Toulouse, Jean-Jacques Bolzan which also has this delegation of “Good Eating”, seeks to create a link between local producers and Toulouse buyers. “The goal is to bring together urban and rural people for a weekend, in the center of Toulouse,” he explains. The event takes place from Friday July 7 to Sunday July 9, 2023 on the place of Chapters.

50 local producers

In all, more than 50 farmers from the region met. On the menu: cheeses, foie gras, cured meats, honey, olives, beer, poultry, saffron… family or between friends, a cheese and charcuterie platter, an aligot, a burger, a farmhouse ice cream or fresh fruit…

Coast drinks, many winegrowers and wine-growing associations “will be happy to introduce you to the largest vineyard in France”, as the town hall explains.

Prevention and anti-waste workshops

But the “good food” atmosphere will also be the opportunity to do a bit of prevention. “Eating Well”, “is also an opportunity to explain how we can eat healthier, with the presence of an ARS stand, avoid the food waste, and understand where the products come from and how they are made, ”explains the chosen one.

Concerts, cooking classes and the World Cup!

Culinary workshops will also be offered every lunchtime between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to create “simple, seasonal and authentic dishes”. Finally, two concerts will take place during the weekend: Saturday evening, the musicians of the group “Froggy Blues Cie”, between Swing and Rock&Roll and on Sunday between 11 am and 2 pm the fanfare of the “Open Bardes”, between funk, pop and international varieties.

And to be complete, the Rugby World Cup trophy will also be presented to the public on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
