“After about 3 hours without food, blood loss started to fall. And after 4 hours, your body has digested whatever you put down before, ”says Cleveland dietitian Amy Jamieson-Petonic, RD.
“After you cross the 5 hour mark, blood sugar starts to drop, and you’re going to take whatever you can to refuel,” he continued.
