easyJet raises business annual profit forecast :: Dienas Bizness

British low-cost airline easyJet on Wednesday raised its profit forecast for the current business year, thanks to a rise in demand.

The airline expects pre-tax profit for the business year ending in September to exceed the £126m (€142.5m) previously forecast.

In addition, easyJet predicts that this business year will end with a profit after suffering losses for the previous three years.

At the same time, the airline reports that pre-tax losses in the first quarter of the business year to December 2022 have decreased to 133 million pounds, compared to 213 million pounds in the corresponding time period a year ago.

During this period, the number of transported passengers increased by 47% and reached 17.5 million.
