EasyJet and Etihad team up to offer a full range of flights

Offer long-haul flights without opening new routes. EasyJet continues to strengthen its strategy by announcing on Tuesday a new partnership with the Emirati airline Etihad Airways. Customers of both companies will now be able to purchase tickets through EasyJet’s Worldwide connecting platform, to and from Abu Dhabi, including from Geneva and Zurich.

This partnership allows the British low cost airline to add a new long-haul destination outside Europe where it operates most of its routes. For its part, Etihad is expanding the number of European destinations it can offer to its customers. “Etihad is acquiring the capacity to attract additional customers that it could not have otherwise sought for its long-haul flights by taking advantage of the very fine European network of EasyJet”, specifies Bertrand Mouly-Aigrot of the firm Archery Strategy Consulting.
