One sign of a blocked WA contact is not being able to receive messages. The status of the message will appear with a check mark instead of a tick two which is a sign that the message was sent.

Pay attention to status online or last seen user
The easiest way to find out if your WA number is blocked is to pay attention to the status online or last seen the contact number that you suspect has blocked you.
The status will usually display the last time the contact opened WA. If the status is not visible, you may be blocked by the contact.

Profile photo not showing
Another indication of blocking is that the profile photo of the contact does not appear. However, you need to re-check whether the contact is posting a profile photo or not.
WhatsApp is known to have a feature to hide profile photos from contacts that it doesn’t save. Who knows your number is not saved by the contact.
