(ANSA) – CATANZARO, 01 APR – Easter Monday with almost summer temperatures in Calabria where the sky remained clear of clouds even if ‘dirtied’ by Saharan dust. It reached over 20 degrees which, in some areas of the interior, even touched +25, for Easter Monday. Tradition respected for trips out of town, with the mountain and coastal tourist resorts of the region being a must. Sold out as has happened for some years now for restaurants and farmhouses. A few more people were present at the seaside compared to previous years, given the particularly favorable climate with picnics under the umbrellas making their first appearances on the beach. The water, still a little cold, did not however discourage the more daring who, in the hottest hours, indulged in a few dives. Foreign tourist presences are growing in the main seaside resorts such as Tropea, Scilla on the Tyrrhenian Sea and Le Castella and Soverato on the Ionian Sea, almost as if to represent a sort of dress rehearsal in view of the next summer season. Full also in the main tourist villages of Sila: from Camigliatello to Lorica but also in Villaggio Mancuso and Trepidò. Many visitors took advantage of the festive day to stop at the National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria where, in addition to numerous other extraordinary finds, the Riace Bronzes are on display. Flowing traffic on the A2 Mediterranean motorway, a little more intense on the Ionian and Tyrrhenian coastal arteries near the main coastal tourist resorts. (HANDLE).
