However, it is worth remembering that it is not possible everywhere, and stores will operate much shorter than usual on Saturdays. Shops on Easter Saturday and trade restrictions
In Poland, the act on the ban on Sunday trading has been in force since March 2018, which also specifies the rules of sale on public holidays. You can read in it that on Holy Saturday, employees are forbidden to perform activities “directly related to trade” after hours. 14.
Therefore, in the run-up to Easter, retail chains announced that their stores would have to close much earlier than usual on Saturdays.

It is also worth remembering about the existing trade restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic. The restrictions, which entered into force on March 27, significantly restrict trade. Shopping centers remain closed, with the exception of: grocery stores, pharmacies and drugstores, press salons, bookstores, pet stores and DIY stores. In shopping malls, they will still be able to operate, among others hairdressing, optical, banking, laundry services.
Restrictions apply. The shops may accommodate one person per 15 m2 in facilities up to 100 m2, and one person per 20 m2 in larger facilities.

Due to the aforementioned legal restrictions, most shops will not be open until 1:00 PM or 1:30 PM. So what does the list of opening hours on Holy Saturday look like?
Almost all big chains on this festive day will have their stores open until 13. They will be: Lidl, Kaufland, Carrfour, Auchan, Netto, or Aldi.
A bit longer, until 1:30 pm we will be able to do pre-Christmas shopping in networks Ladybug and Dino.
The exceptions are shops belonging to the Żabka franchise. Here, on Easter Saturday, the shop owner decides about the closing time of the premises.
