By Holy Wednesday, May 1, employers must pay the Easter gift to private sector workers. This year’s Easter gift will be increased for minimum wage earners. All employees employed in the private sector with an open-ended or fixed-term, full-time or part-time dependent work relationship with any employer have the right to this.
Civil servants, as well as pensioners, do not receive the Easter gift after the adoption of relevant memorandum laws.
Easter gift: When and what you will receive
- Payment: By M. Wednesday May 1st
- Work from January 1st to April 30th -> full gift
- Shorter working interval -> gift ratio
- Anyone who is paid minimum wage and works all four months will receive: €432.29 (from €406.25) +€26
