People from Plovdiv certainly make the most of their free time during the Easter holidays. The main one in Plovdiv was filled to capacity. Thousands of residents and guests of the city occupied the cafes, all the benches and green spaces around.
Many commented to “Maritsa” that they dyed the eggs early in the morning and decided to use the good weather for a walk. “Tomorrow the forecast is for very bad weather, so today we are taking advantage,” pointed out a mother who went out with her two children along Main Street.
Shortly before noon, an Easter egg painting workshop was held on the square in front of the Municipality. Dozens of children sat down and grabbed the brush to make the most beautiful egg with their own hands. The creative task brought big smiles to the faces of the little ones, especially after they realized that they could take this jewel home.
Children’s noise can be heard all over Main Street, especially around the points selling balloons with the faces of the favorite cartoon characters.
On the benches, many have unfolded interesting reading, others are meeting with old friends who returned to Plovdiv for Easter.
Queues are forming in front of fast food outlets, there are also crowds in front of street musicians, who today enjoy festive generosity.
